Graduate Engineer Posted: 09/01/2010 Salary: Commensurate with experience and responsibilities. Responsibilities: Performs assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
Using prescribed methods, performs broad assignments under the direction of an experienced engineer.
Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
Assists in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multi-family developments and public works projects.
Assists in the preparation of calculations, such as storm drain, wastewater, water system, earthwork quantities, transportation, cost estimates and other supporting documentation for public and private projects.
May use cadd software as a design tool.
Directs the work of Drafters and Technicians.
3 or more years of experienced under the direction of a licensed Professional Engineer and Civil 3D preferred. |
