Fort Worth River Crest Landing is a large lot (24-lots), gated single family development located in a secluded pockect in west Fort Worth immediately northeast of Catalina Ct. and Merrick St. The entire site is heavily treed with many being of champion quality.
Land & Site DevelopmentProject Category: Single Family ResidentialUnique Challenge Earthwork / Site GradingUnique Challenge Summary The big challenge faced on this project was how to address the significant amount of groundwater flow coming from the adjacent older subdivisions located south and uphill from River Crest Landing. Until homes with permanent subdran systems could be constructed, a temporary subdrain system was designed and installed across an area of 100-ft. by 400-ft. This perforated subdrain connected to an eight inch non-perforated manifold that eventually crossed the new street and outfalled into an existing drainage swale. The solid manifold pipe will remain in-place and be connected to as the upper lots are developed with homes and permanent subdrain systems.
