This development has been done over three and a half years. The campus has two flood plains on either side with large topographic relief and the center portion that is mostly flat. The existing site had many uncharted utilities including, gas, sewer, water, fiber optic lines and minimal storm drainage. The high school is located in an area of the site that has large topographic relief. This site was designed with use of split finished floor elevations, multiple retaining walls up to 18' tall and grading of parking lots to attain the desired development. Close attention was give to the multiple utility crossings and limited outfall both the storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems. Texan Drive was designed to replace the old road main road through the campus maintaining minimal change to existing utilities and infrastructure while planning for additional future development of the site including a master irrigation plan and resolving irrigation issues of water supply and demand. Due to the use of the facility, the new administration building had to be rezoned through the city. Dunaway Associates designed new parking for the facility to minimize cost and the developed area by designing the parking off of existing roads surrounding the site while limiting the new zoning area.
